✈️ Your free hotel night awaits
Do you have this perk? And are you utilizing it each year?

Good morning, friend. And good morning to my mom (and all moms) who have ever told me (or you) to have a safe flight…

I mean, I’ll do my best, but… 🤷🏻♀️ Anyway, let’s talk travel from the week, shall we?

🧳 Are you utilizing this credit card perk that pays for itself?
➡️ You can now transfer points to American Airlines (and there’s a new card helping you do that!).
🎥 Is this the best hotel credit card? Our latest YouTube video will let you know.

🏆 Our Favorite Pick: This credit card trick gets you a free hotel night (Every. Single. Year.)
The truth is… It’s really no trick. Some hotel credit cards hand out free night certificates like Oprah gives away cars — and all you have to do is keep the card open. Seriously.
Let’s highlight some of our favorites from each hotel brand:
World of Hyatt
This hotel’s OG credit card is a true crowd pleaser at just $95 a year, and it offers a free night award at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel each year on your cardmember anniversary.
I recently stayed at the Andaz Mexico City Condesa for completely free — all thanks to redeeming several free night awards.

Using my complimentary free night award on a property that can easily cost upwards of $300 per night absolutely slaps (that’s Gen Z speak for when something is really good, fyi).
Translation: You pay a $95 annual fee… and in return, you might get a hotel night worth over $300.

Marriott Bonvoy
Marriott… AKA, bae. 😘
Marriott’s own $95-a-year card also offers a free night award each year on your account anniversary. This free night is valued up to 35,000 points, but you can top this off with up to 15,000 additional points — in case you wanted to splurge on something a little fancier. 😏
Even better? The card is currently offering three free nights (each valued up to 50,000 points!!) after spending $3,000 in the first three months of opening the card.
That’s a lot of free nights up for grabs and is truly chef’s kiss quality — no notes.
IHG
Another personal favorite of mine is IHG’s mid-tiered card that offers a free night each year worth up to 40,000 points (with the ability to top off, too).
I’ll be passing through Istanbul in a couple of weeks and was more than happy to drop my free night award on this gorgeous waterfront property.

Again, paying a $95 annual fee in exchange for a hotel night that normally costs over $200? GOATed. 🐐
Hilton
Several Hilton cards also offer free night certificates (either complimentary or after hitting a spending threshold).
I don’t personally have a Hilton card (gasp), but many Daily Drop team members can vouch for them.
Perhaps the most exciting thing about holding a Hilton card that offers a free night is that these free night awards are uncapped. 🤯
Want to redeem it for a hotel that costs $300 a night? Sure. Or want to redeem it for a hotel that costs $3,000 a night? Hell yeah.
