🍁 Where your points can take you this fall

We're featuring a fun fall destination — all paid for with points!

Good morning from Istanbul, Türkiye 🙋🏻‍♀️

I’m especially giddy today because I’ve been surrounded by massive amounts of cats since the moment I stepped off the plane — after all, Istanbul is known as the City of Cats… Some might even call it a Kitty City (I’ll stop 🫠).

But a lot was happening in the travel world this week, so let’s pounce on it.

💰 Save 30% on premium economy awards if you book by August 31.

✈️ Alaska Airlines just launched AtmosTM Rewards, an entirely new joint-loyalty program with Hawaiian Airlines (plus a new premium travel card!).

💳 Consider cards with no present spending limit — like the always-coveted Capital One Venture X Business.

🏆 Our Favorite Pick: Munich with miles and points

I’ll admit it.

I’m a basic gal who loves fall — pumpkin spice everything, big cozy sweaters, and of course, Oktoberfest. Heck, my birthday is even in October, so my fall basic-ness is truly meant to be. 🎃

So how about a little fall travel inspo? Let’s head to Munich on miles and points!

Oktoberfest 2025 will officially take place from September 20 to October 5 in Munich, Germany. And although this can be an expensive time to visit Bavaria, not all hope is lost — this is Daily Drop after all. 😎

Award flights

Some potential routes that Mike (and Daily Drop Pro) highlighted for us earlier in the week include Charlotte (CLT) and San Francisco (SFO) to Munich (MUC).

I’ve also flown from both Seattle (SEA) and Vancouver (YVR) directly to Frankfurt (FRA) more times than I can count for 40,000 points in economy (or 75,000 in business). They’re easy positioning flights from the West Coast that’ll set you up to be in Munich (or elsewhere in Europe) in no time.

Award stays

You’ve got both budget and higher-end points options in Munich. Consider:

  • The ibis Budget Munich Putzbrunn from Accor Live Limitless for just 6,348 points per night (a steal if you’re transferring from Capital One miles)

  • The Holiday Inn Express Munich-Olching, an IHG property, for 27,500 points per night (and get your fourth night free if you’re an IHG cardholder!)

  • The World of Hyatt Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor for 23,000 points per night (saving you over $800 a night in cash!)
