Good morning friends, and welcome back to Daily Dropâthe perfect newsletter to cuddle up to with a cup of coffee on a cold winter morning.
Or you could just use your points and fly to Mexico for warmth. Both are acceptable.
Letâs finish off the week with a bang:

đ¨ Hyatt drops a double promo on us
If there was any doubt about which hotel program is most keen to get your business, that doubt should be goneâŚ
Even with all of the other news and promos out of Hyatt in recent months, theyâve just launched another DOUBLE promo, and this one is actually quite unique.
It involves the mysterious Mr. And Mrs. Smith hotel collection. If youâve never heard of this, I wrote up a newsletter about Hyattâs acquisition of the portfolio earlier this year, which you can check out here.
Basically, Mr. and Mrs. Smith is a platform where you can book luxury hotels around the world. The hotels are independently owned, but the platform used to book them is now owned by Hyatt.
Itâs kind of confusingâŚ
But all you really need to know is that right now, Hyatt is offering two promotions to help you get excellent value out of these hotels.
Promo one: earn bonus Hyatt points and elite nights when buying Mr. and Mrs. Smith gift cards.
Hereâs the deal:
Youâll earn five Hyatt points per dollar when purchasing these gift cards
Youâll also earn elite bonuses if you have Hyatt elite status
These gift cards can only be used at Mr. and Mrs. Smith hotels, not any Hyatt hotels
Youâll earn one elite night credit for every $300 in gift cards you purchase (up to 60 nights)
Hereâs why this deal is attractive:
Mr. and Mrs. Smith are all luxury hotels. Iâm not talking about luxury hotels⌠I mean LUXURY hotels. Theyâre nice. đ
Additionally, a lot of their hotels are super unique. From treehouses to island bungalows, a stay at one of these properties will surely be a unique experience.
Which is why the second part of this promotion is a game changerâŚ
Promo number two: Until November 6th, you can get up to a 40% discount on Mr. and Mrs. Smith hotels through December 2024.
Of course, this one doesnât require too much explanation⌠Itâs just a straight-up discounted rate on hotels.
Not all hotels are discounted, and the discount amount does vary, so youâll want to check out this page for a complete list of properties and discounts.
But thereâs definitely some value to be had here when combining these two promotions.
For example, you could book a 5-night stay at this lovely hotel in Spain for just $640 total.
If you buy gift cards to pay for this stay, you will earn 3,200 Hyatt points from the first part of the promo, along with two Hyatt elite night credits (on top of whatever points you earn on your credit card for making the purchase).
If you use a card like the [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.name ]] to make the purchase, youâll earn another 640 points, which you can then transfer to Hyatt for a total yield of 3,840 points.
Note: I say 640 points because I assume the gift card purchase wonât code as a travel purchase, and therefore youâd earn 1 point per dollar. If it does code as travel, you can double that amount of points!
Thatâs already enough to book ANOTHER free night at a Category 1 Hyatt hotel.
So, as you can see, this dynamic duo of promos can get you outsize value for your hard-earned dollars, along with a really unique accommodation and memorable travel experience.
Make sure you start looking nowâthe sale ends on November 6th.
âď¸ Flying Blue Promo Rewards (November 2023)
It should be no secret at this point that I freaking love Air France/KLMâs Flying Blue program.
And you all should, too, because theyâve just released their tasty November promos đĽł
Here are the deets:
You need to book your flights by November 30th
Travel can take place through April 30th, 2024
You need to book directly with either KLM or Air France depending on your destination city (see screen shot below)
But in case youâre late to the party, Flying Blue does something like this every month by giving us the opportunity to book certain award routes from North America to Europe for very few points.
Like tiny, baby amounts of points. Weâre talking 15,000 points to fly across the pond which is insane đ
Plus, the deals arenât just for economyâyouâll find this 25% discount listed for certain flights in premium economy and even business class.
The business-class seats are a bit more limited, but hey, Iâll take a 25% point discount any day if I can make it work.
But stop and think about thisâeven long-ass (ten hour) flights from the West Coast of the U.S. are just 15,000 points đ¤Ż
Like this flight from Seattle to Paris. Insanity.
But it gets betterâŚ
Right now, you can transfer [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.points-program-override.points-currency ]] with a 25% transfer bonus to KLM/Air France Flying Blue.
So for that flight to Paris, youâd actually only need 12,000 UR points to book that flight (12,000 points + 3,000 bonus points with the transfer).
12,000 measly points from a stellar card like this the [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.casual-card-name ]] is great value. Like, super great value.
Fortunately, if you donât have [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.points-program-override.points-currency ]], Flying Blue is a transfer partner of every other major bank, but this especially works in your favor if youâve got a stash of those UR points to burn đ
Psst⌠Iâm handing the official newsletter reigns over to our fearless leader, Austin, to have a check-in with him and Boundless Life! đ
đ Sponsored by Boundless Life
Curious about what got my family out of a camper in the U.S. and traveling through Europe for three months?
The answer is simple: Boundless Life
Each Boundless Life destination is somewhere incredible, and includes 1-3 bedroom apartments, an Education Center for your kids, a co-working space for Digital Nomads, planned events for anything you can imagine in the region, and more!
Weâre here in Pistoia with:
16 other families who represent eight nationalities (+1 if you include all of our Italian neighbors)
25+ kids enrolled in three different age groups for Boundless Education
One thing the Boundless team told me that I pretty quickly dismissed was the community aspect of each cohort. I knew our kids would make friends, but I honestly had pretty low expectations for the other parents⌠call me a skeptic đ¤¨
I'm so happy to report how wrong I wasâŚ
Some families have two working parents, some adults are taking a gap year, and some have sold their homes to make full-time travel a priority for as long as they can sustain it.
The common thread in all of them is that theyâre awesome. You would kind of have to be in order to do what we're doing, I suppose? đ
Need more proof? Give Joe, one of my new friends in Pistoia, a call for yourself. He and his family are on their SIXTH Boundless cohort in Pistoia đ¤Ż
It also turns out that he joined the Boundless sales team after his third cohort in Portugal, and he tells me spots for next year are already filling up fast!
If you're looking for friends that will last a lifetime and are interested in traveling abroad for one to three months, book your call ASAP! đ
P.S. If you don't meet with Joe, you'll chat with Bex or Jordan (both of whom have done it themselves or have a future cohort booked with their family), so you'll be in great hands!

One of my favorite ways to learn about new travel hacks is in our very own Daily Drop Lounge, an online community of DD fans and travel hackers.
And unlike your local airport lounge, you wonât have any trouble getting into the Daily Drop Lounge. đ
Hereâs a look at a post from this past week if you want a taste of what youâre missing:
Thatâs all for today, friends! I know I say this a lot, but there has never been a better time to start travel hacking.
We have so many amazing credit card offers, transfer bonuses, hotel and airline promos, status matches, and more. The opportunities are really endless, and I really hope youâre as excited as I am about it all.
I hope you all have a great weekend, and I really look forward to raiding your inbox again on Monday morning. â¤ď¸
