🤩 Something I’m really excited about right now…
Over the last few weeks, you may have noticed the fancy polls we’ve been putting into the newsletters.
Basically, when I ask you a question that has hyperlinked bullet points underneath, you can click them and see the results from hundreds of thousands of other readers.
It’s pretty sweet. And there may or may not be another one later in this email…
Anyway, earlier this week I used a poll to ask y’all whether or not you had previously heard of banks’ reconsideration lines, and got the following results:

A LOT of you asked me about which card I was talking about in that article, a.k.a. the one I got denied for and then approved via the reconsideration line.
Well, as it turns out, it’s a card that I’m REALLY excited about.
Not just a little excited about… I haven’t been this excited about a credit card in a long time. Here is a snapshot taken of me when I received it in the mail:
And the card I’m talking about may surprise you because we’ve never really covered it in detail here in the newsletter.
To be totally honest, I don’t know why more people aren’t freaking out about it.

✈️ Qantas makes a big announcement about “Project Sunrise”
You may not know this, but Qantas has been working on a project for years now called “Project Sunrise.”
The goal of this project is to overcome the final frontier of aviation; flying nonstop from the East Coast of Australia to London and New York.
Due to passenger loads, aircraft range, and fuel requirements, these routes have long been impossible (or not economically viable).
That’s why in 2017, Qantas challenged aircraft manufacturers to design a plane that could accomplish this massive undertaking.
The answer was the Airbus A350-1000.
And in a recent announcement, Qantas gave us the first glimpse of what this plane will look like, including highly detailed designs for the first and business-class cabins.
Airbus A350s have been flying for years, but this model in particular has a longer range and better fuel efficiency than older ones.
Qantas is also completely breaking the mold of what we know as the typical airline cabin.
The plane will hold just 238 passengers, compared to the normal 300+
Business and First Class seats will take up the vast majority of space on the plane
There will be a community “Wellbeing Zone” on the plane that all passengers can access
Given the fact that these flights will last close to 24 hours (maybe even longer), Qantas is making this much more than just a long flight. They are using scientific data from test flights to come up with ways for passengers to stay healthy, active, and comfortable during this extremely long journey.
While all of that is fascinating, the most exciting part, in my humble opinion, is the new first-class cabin, which you can see a video walkthrough of here:
If the designs materialize the way they look in that video, Qantas will have first and business-class products that rival the big boys like Etihad, Singapore, and Emirates.
Overall, this is really cool. The fact that aviation has come to this point where Syndey and London can be connected by a single nonstop flight is just so impressive.
The luxurious, modern, unique plane is the cherry on top of it all, and something I look forward to getting to try out one day… and showing you all how you can book it with points, of course. 😉
