Good morning from Fukuoka, one of my favorite cities here in Japan!

It’s got everything - amazing food, nice weather, beautiful parks, and most importantly… weird vending machines on every street corner.

Here are today’s travel tips:

⭐️ The stars align: 20% transfer bonus to Flying Blue

Yesssssssssssss. I’m pumped.

A couple of weeks ago, I told you about Flying Blue’s Promo Rewards for October, which I thought was one of the best sets of cities we’ve seen in a while.

Well, now we have a shiny new 20% transfer bonus from MR Points to make those awards even cheaper!!

A screenshot from my Amex account showing a 20% transfer bonus

As a reminder, Promo Rewards allow you to book flights from the U.S. to Europe for as few as 15,000 points one way.

Since you can transfer points from basically every bank, getting these points in your account is super easy.

This month’s awards include a ton of U.S. cities, too.

With this transfer bonus, these awards now cost just 12,500 points. If you’re booking a round-trip to Europe, that’s just 25,000 MR Points per person.

💳 With one single welcome offer like this one, you could use this combo to book round-trip flights to Europe for two people - and still have points left over!

As long as you book your awards by the end of this month, you can lock in these rates as far out as March 31st, 2025.

SO for anyone looking for fall getaways, Christmas Market tours, or even Spring Break options, this is a GREAT way to do so.

Personally, I’ll be heading to my home state of New Hampshire next week (#livefreeordie 🤘🏼) and have been looking for a good way to jet off to Europe from there.

I can simply book a positioning flight to a city like Atlanta, Detroit, or Chicago and book one of these tasty awards to Europe.

Chicago to Vienna for 15,000 miles

But there’s more to this transfer bonus than just flying to Europe.

Flying Blue miles can be used to book domestic Delta flights for as few as 8,000 miles.

With this transfer bonus, that’s 6,600 MR Points to fly around the U.S. on Delta…

For anyone who’s experienced the Delta SkyMiles struggle, this probably sounds extremely appealing.

Anyway, here’s the bottom line:

If you have a card that earns MR Points (like this one with a current elevated offer), this is a GREAT way to put those points to use for excellent value whether you’re traveling around your home country or jetting off on a Eurotrip.

This transfer bonus lasts through November 10th, so you can even wait to see if your home city is included on next month’s list of Promo Rewards if you want to.

✈️ TONS of award availability to Germany in Lufthansa business class

Speaking of Europe…

This is great news. If you’ve never been to Germany, you should go.

And if you don’t want to go to Germany, it’s one of the most centrally-located and best-connected countries in Europe to get you to your preferred destination.

Right now, there is a crap ton of award availability to Frankfurt in Lufthansa business class for as low as 60k points if you book via Aeroplan 😎

What’s even greater about this find is that there’s a little something for both West and East Coast peeps, plus you middle-of-the-country folk.

Here are some example bookings showing 60k points in business class from JFK and Boston, as well as 70k points from San Francisco and Chicago.

Example award bookings via Aeroplan

And those $78 in taxes and fees? Well, if you’re paying in USD, that’s actually only $56.54. Pretty sweet 😏

From doing some searches, many of these flights were available from the end of November until the spring next year.

I also found some routes from Denver, San Francisco, and LAX over to Frankfurt.

So if you’ve been thinking about hopping over to Europe for the Christmas markets (Germany has GREAT ones, btw), this could be an excellent deal—especially when many of these flights are priced well over $5,000 one-way.

Or, of course, if you’re planning on traveling around Europe next spring, this could be a fantastic option to position yourself centrally within the continent.

And as I mentioned earlier, the best way to book these seats is through Aeroplan.

Fortunately for you all, if you need some Aeroplan points, you can transfer those over at a 1:1 ratio from most major banks 🙌

Who knows how long all this availability will last—especially now that we’re blasting the news to you all 😉 So grab a seat if you can!

Bette Nash holds the Guinness World Record for the longest-serving flight attendant. How many years did she serve?

The correct answer is... 67 freaking years!!!

Bette Nash’s remarkable career as a flight attendant spanned nearly seven decades, beginning in 1957 when she joined Eastern Airlines at the age of 21.

Can you imagine everything this woman saw change during her service? Wow. From handwritten tickets and in-flight lobster dinners to digital check-ins and modernized cabin services, she witnessed it all.

One of Nash’s most memorable achievements was earning the Guinness World Record in 2022 for being the longest-serving flight attendant, a title she held after more than 64 years of flying.

Even at age 88 when she passed away (earlier this year), she hadn’t officially retired... a true badass.

Nash became particularly well-known on American Airlines’ shuttle route between Washington and Boston—so much so that the airline affectionately nicknamed the flight the “Nash-Dash” in her honor.

As she famously said, her favorite part of the job was greeting passengers as they boarded and deplaned. Can you imagine if every flight attendant had this attitude toward customers??

Anyway, she truly left a legacy like no other. Read more about Bette Nash's incredible story in this article.

I’ve never considered having to use a $300 travel credit to book a hotel in a safe place amidst a hurricane evacuation 😢

But that’s exactly what this Daily Drop Lounge member did.

Despite the destruction, fear, and trauma of enduring a natural disaster, it’s great to see how a single perk from a credit card was able to assist someone during this time.

If you haven’t done so yet, come and join us in our private Facebook group where you can ask all your travel questions or share personal travel wins, just like this one 🙂

That’s all for today, kiddos! I love it when Flying Blue transfer bonuses overlap with versatile and wide-ranging promo rewards.

It’s just another example of why it’s one of my favorite points programs out there!

Anyway, see you tomorrow. ❤️
