✈️ The cutest flight in the world is back in the U.S.

Plus, fly to Europe for 6,000 points with Flying Blue, and I’ll blow your minds with a new credit card combo that nobody seems to be talking about.

Estimated read time: 3 minutes and 57 seconds

Fun fact: Japan appointed Hello Kitty as their ambassador for tourism back in 2008… I’m serious, you can read all about it here.

Good morning from Toronto, the only city where it’s regularly rainy, snowy, hailing, thunderstorms, and warm and sunny… all on the same day.

Today is one of those days that I am just GIDDY with excitement because of what I have to share with you in the newsletter. 😄

When you read these bullet points, you’ll know why:

  • 💳 Top Cards Update: The best two-card system on earth (and beyond)

  • ✈️ Fly to Europe for 6,000 points each way (no joke)

  • 😻 Hello Kitty-themed flights return to the U.S.

Yeah… this is gonna be a fun one.

💳 Top Cards Update: The best two-card combo in human history

Okay, y’all… get ready for one of the coolest travel hacks in the game.

As you know, we regularly update our Top Travel Cards list every month. This month, we have a few small updates and one BIG update to the list.

The big update is a $0 card that we’ve added to the list. Most of you have never heard of this card because, on paper, it isn’t exciting at all.

BUT… I wrote a little article explaining how the [[ chase-freedom-unlimited-credit-card.name ]] becomes VERY powerful when paired with the [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.name ]].

Check it out and see for yourselves, I’d be surprised if this travel hack was on your radar already, so I hope you enjoy. 👇

✈️ Fly to Europe for 6,000 points each way

As you know, KLM/Air France Promo Rewards are deals that are published every month by KLM and Air France that offer huge discounts on specific routes with these airlines.

This month, they are offering the single best deal I’ve ever seen from them, which will allow you to fly to Europe for as few as 6,000 points.

Canadians, you will want to pay attention here, too…

Here is how these promo rewards work:

  • You must book your flights by the end of the month (April 30th)

  • Travel can take place through September 30th, 2023

  • You must book your trips via either KLM or Air France, depending on the city (see the screenshot above)

  • Discount will automatically be applied to search results

If you had to check twice at that Montreal route for only 7,500 miles each way, you’re not alone… I didn’t believe it when I read that. But, sure enough, there are indeed plenty of flights from Montreal to Europe for only 7,500 miles.

Personally, I jumped on this opportunity to book round-trip flights to Munich for only 15,000 miles to enjoy the famous Oktoberfest later this year.

In addition to the Montreal route, there are also excellent deals from cities like Atlanta, Boston, Washington, D.C., Detroit, Houston, and more.

But that’s not all…

Right now, Chase has a 25% transfer bonus to KLM/Air France Flying Blue, meaning you only need to transfer 6,000 Chase points to book that flight for 7,500 miles.

If you don’t have any Chase points, you’re still in luck.

You can transfer points from every major bank, including American Express, Citi, Chase, Capital One, Bilt, and even hotel programs like Marriott Bonvoy.

Our Top Cards Page includes plenty of cards that could each earn you plenty of round-trips to Europe at this price.

This is an amazing opportunity to book dirt-cheap flights across the Atlantic. They’re so cheap that it makes sense to book a positioning flight to one of these cities to make these flights work.

😻 Hello Kitty-themed flights return to the U.S.

Just when you thought this newsletter couldn’t get more exciting, we throw Hello Kitty into the mix.

In case you didn’t know, Taiwan-based airline EVA Air used to operate Hello Kitty-themed flights to various cities, including to Chicago in the U.S.

In a surprise announcement, EVA Air has reinstated these flights on their routes between Taipei and Chicago, Bali, and Sapporo.

These flights aren’t just planes with Hello Kitty paint jobs… Everything from the dining to the napkins, pillows, and cabin decorations are ALL Hello Kitty.

The cabin crew even wears Hello Kitty-themed uniforms. 👇

So yeah… it’s pretty over the top.

Look… I’m not a big Hello Kitty fan. But I’m also not NOT a Hello Kitty fan…

Honestly, this is a pretty unique aviation experience to have, so I’m probably going to book it… Why the heck not, right?

You can visit the specific EVA Air Hello Kitty website to look at which flights have this special service, but the Chicago routes are flight numbers 54 and 55.

If you want to book one of these flights with points, Aeroplan is a great option:

So if you want a unique travel experience while transporting yourself to or from Asia, this is definitely about as unique as it gets.

Even if you don’t fly it yourself, it’s just kinda fun to know this thing exists.

That’s all for today, folks.

I want to give you a quick heads-up that we will NOT be sending a newsletter out tomorrow.

I know you all sit by your phones eagerly waiting for our email every day, so don’t panic when it doesn’t show up. 😉

Before we go, I’d like to ask you all a question:

Are you going to take advantage of anything we talked about today?

Login or Subscribe to participate in polls.

I hope you all have a nice, relaxing weekend, and I look forward to showing up in your inbox again Monday.

Take care ❤️
