🥇Alaska Airlines Global Getaways Promo: Up to 50% off award redemptions

As someone who lives in the Pacific Northwest, I am often deficient in vitamin D, the sun, joy, and hope for the future (I’m kidding… about the last two).

So any opportunity I can get to book a cheap trip to the tropics (with plentiful warmth and sunshine), I’m in.

Fortunately, Alaska has just launched a new promo called Global Getaways which will feature discounted award redemptions to rotating destinations around the world!

Alaska’s Mileage Plan members can now save up to 50% on select international award flights if booked by April 30th, 2024, with travel taking place in September or November.

The currently featured destinations are all home to blue water and breezy palm trees… 👇

Flying to a place like the Maldives for only 30,000 miles is SO good, but keep in mind that these redemptions are for economy and premium economy.

I actually looked up an example route from Seattle to Tahiti and found a ton of availability in the month of November.

Now the elephant in the room—or, this newsletter—is that Alaska miles have been notoriously hard to come by.

However, there are a few ways to get a stash of ‘em:

• Transfer points from Bilt (their new transfer partner, whoo!)

• Fly with Alaska and save up miles

• Get the airline’s credit card if you so desire

Overall, this is a fun promotion that holds some pretty good value. Since these deals and destinations will rotate quarterly, I wonder where Alaska will take us in Q3 😏

🥈 Award Drop: Business class to Dublin

One of my fondest travel memories is spending St. Paddy’s Day in Dublin, but if I could have gotten there in a cheap business class seat… the pot of gold would have been that much sweeter 🍯
