🤔 Should you buy this unlimited flight pass?

Every few months, Frontier Airlines comes out with a pass that allows you to fly an unlimited number of times between certain dates.

It’s called the “All You Can Fly” pass, and there are a LOT of caveats…

But they’ve just launched another version of this pass that is arguably the best one we’ve seen.

In fact, I think a lot of people could come out way ahead on this deal. So let’s talk about it.

Here’s the deal:

Right now, you can pay $299 for a flight pass that offers “unlimited” flights on Frontier from September 1st, 2024, through February 28th, 2025.

Sounds amazing, right?

Well, hold on a sec… Here’s the fine print:

• You still need to pay taxes and fees on flights booked with the pass

• There are some blackout dates (though not a ton)

• For domestic flights, you can only book the day before travel

• For international, you can book ten days ahead of time

The third point above is really the only reason that this could be a little scary… most people don’t like the idea of waiting until the last minute to solidify travel plans.

But I ran a ton of searches for Frontier flights departing tomorrow and found space on ALL of them.

So, as far as I can see, this likely wouldn’t be a massive problem… but you’ll definitely want to have a backup plan in place when using this pass.

For example, if you wanted to book a flight from Atlanta to Orlando tomorrow, it would cost $136.

With this pass, however, you could book this by paying the $45 in taxes, saving you $91.

Over the course of six months, you can imagine how the savings from this pass could really add up, especially if you take some international flights.

For example, you can book this flight from Chicago to Cancun (ten days in advance) for $235.

With this pass, you’d just pay the $95 in taxes and fees, saving you $140 on this one flight.

The savings from one round trip like this would basically pay for the entire pass.

But there’s one more factor that sweetens the pot here…

If you buy this pass by August 23rd, you’ll get Frontier Elite Silver status until the end of 2025 (even past when the pass ends).

As you can see, Silver status comes with some fairly meaningful benefits, including:

• No change/cancellation fees (7 days in advance)

• Seat selection

• Early boarding

• Family pooling

It’s not crazy, but it’s not a bad set of additional perks to have for a year and a half.

And while the lack of change fees only applies up to seven days in advance (and thus useless for this pass), you’ll have that for months after the pass ends, so it’s still useful.

So here’s the bottom line:

Being loyal to budget airlines is a great way to save money on travel without playing the complicated and often frustrating points and miles game.

Having this pass could save you even more money while giving you some meaningful perks.

So go ahead and crunch the numbers, check out the blackout dates, and see if this pass makes sense for you.

Some of these offers are meh, but some are quite good. The most important thing to remember, though, is that they are targeted.

So you never know when you’ll be offered something or not.

I’m currently seeing this Delta offer in my account, and I actually think it’s a pretty good one!👇

• You must enroll (just click Add to Card) by September 22, 2024

• Valid for both physical and digital gift cards

I like this deal because even if you don’t have a specific Delta flight in mind, Delta gift cards don’t expire, so you’ll be able to use them at any point in the future 🤗

If we value [[ the-platinum-card-from-american-express.points-program-override.points-currency ]] around 2 cents a piece (which we do), you’re easily getting around $100 worth of bonus points PLUS the 500 points you’ll get from the actual purchase itself.

So in total, you’re walking away with a net value of $110 for those points. Not bad 😏

And even though $500 might seem a bit limiting if you’re looking to redeem it for a long-haul, international flight, the great news is that you can use a combo of gift cards and cash when booking flights on Delta.

If you fly Delta regularly or have an upcoming flight in mind, don’t wait to check your accounts to see if this offer is waiting for you!
