🇳🇬 Delta is adding a seasonal daily nonstop from NYC (JFK) to Lagos, Nigeria! It’s currently running through Dec-Jan with hopes to expand in 2025. Read more here.
Howdy, friends, and welcome back to Daily Drop.
I’m sitting in the airport, waiting to kick off my insane journey that will have me flying 25 times in the next 33 days…
So PLEASE send me positive vibes… I need ‘em right now. 🙏🏼
Here’s what we’ve got today:
✈️ Flying Blue Promo Rewards (November)
Y’all know the routine: new month, new set of epic Flying Blue Promo Rewards.
If you don’t know the routine, let me break it down quickly:
Every month, Flying Blue (the points program for KLM and Air France) offers discounted rates for booking flights between the U.S. and Europe using points.
This month’s awards includes another big list of cities in both the U.S. and Canada:
As you can see, you can fly to multiple European cities from any of the following cities for just 15,000 points in economy, which is an excellent deal:
Seattle
Boston
New York
Denver
Vancouver
Ottawa
All of these are excellent deals, especially the longer-distance flights like those departing from Seattle and Denver. 👇
To make this month’s awards even sweeter, there’s a current 20% transfer bonus from MR Points, but only until November 10th.
With this bonus, you could fly to Europe for just 12,500 MR Points, which is almost as good as it gets!
If you want to venture off beyond Europe, there are some even better-value awards between Europe and Asia.
For example, you can fly from Europe to Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, or Jakarta, all for just 18,750 Flying Blue miles, or 15,600 points with the aforementioned bonus.
For a 15-hour flight, this is an excellent deal and a great option for someone piecing together a trip to both Europe and Asia.
So here’s the bottom line:
As usual, Flying Blue is offering some great deals for flights booked by the end of this month.
If you can lock in that 20% transfer bonus before November 10th, these deals are even better.
🏨 Buy Hyatt points with a 25% bonus
It’s been a while since we’ve been presented with a way to buy points for outsize value.
And since this is one of the most frequent questions we get here at Daily Drop, I thought today would be a good time to break down a solid example of where buying points is advantageous.
This time, there’s a 25% bonus when buying World of Hyatt points.
At first glance, it’s hard to wrap your head around buying Hyatt points… They’re super expensive, and a 25% bonus doesn’t sound that crazy.
But in some instances, this can lead to extreme outsize value and save you a lot of money on the right hotel stay.
Let me give you an example:
This property in the Miami area costs $445 per night, or a whopping $536 after taxes:
As you can see, this hotel is a Category 4 and, therefore, only costs 12,000 Hyatt points on the same night.
If you were to buy points instead of paying cash for the hotel, you’d only spend a grand total of $240 to book the hotel, saving yourself almost $300… per night.
This deal can also save you money on lower-category hotels which might have a high cash cost but low points cost.
For example, this hotel in Germany is a Category 1 property that often costs just 3,500 points per night, or $114 when paying cash.
If you wanted to book a 5-night stay here, it would cost you $570 if paying cash.
With the points bonus, however, buying 17,500 points could book you the same 5-night stay and only cost you $336, saving you around $230.
So here’s the bottom line:
Buying points doesn’t always mean you’ll get outsize value - it very much depends on the specific stay in question.
With Hyatt, an expensive hotel with a low points price is a perfect example of how buying points will save you money. Just make sure you run the numbers before going for it.
🙌 Rare business class deal to New Zealand
Okay, y’all. This one is for those of you who want to visit New Zealand in comfort and can position yourselves to Los Angeles… before the end of the year.
And that’s because we’re seeing business class award availability for many days throughout the months of November and December for just 75,000 Aeroplan points 😮
That’s a 13-hour flight, my friends. And one that would be soooo roughhhh in economy.
Even though this flight is operated by Air New Zealand, this is the best deal I’m seeing across multiple programs.
For instance, if you booked through United, the exact same Air New Zealand flight requires 110,000 miles (thanks for pointing this out, Daily Drop Pro 😎).
Or, you could always just pay cash for this flight……….. 😬
Don’t do this…
Overall, this award deal is exciting because:
Finding business class award seats to New Zealand isn’t that common (not many airlines fly this nonstop route)
If you do find days with availability, they can often require a stupid amount of points (like 200k-300k level of stupid)
So now the question is… How do I get some Aeroplan points??
You lucky ducks are in… well, luck. Because you can transfer points from most major banks to Aeroplan with ease 😮💨
The northern hemisphere’s winter is a great time to visit New Zealand for their summer, but I can’t imagine these flights will be available for long… So if you want this deal, don’t wait.

That’s all for today, folks! Thanks for tuning in to this Tuesday’s edition of Daily Drop, and I’ll be back in your inbox tomorrow morning from lovely London, England.
