š Let's escape in business class
Shocker: There's actually a great award redemption from Europe TO the U.S. Plus, Hilton has launched another promo for fall and winter travel.
Estimated read time: 3 minutes and 57 seconds
Between now and September 30th, you could earn between 25x - 50x AAdvantage miles per dollar donated to Stand Up to Cancer, a nonprofit that raises money for cancer research. Thatās a LOT of points, but also a great cause to support š©·
Happy Friday, everyone! Mike is taking the day off, so consider me (Tiffany šš»āāļø) the Tom Cruise of the Olympic Games.
I may not be carrying the torch from Paris to Los Angeles in Mission: Impossible styleā¦ But Iāll certainly carry us into the weekend.
Hereās whatās up:
āļø Singapore Airlines Spontaneous Escapes for September
Itās that time again when Singapore Airlines releases discounted award flights for certain routes and regions around the world.
This time, bookings must be made by August 31, 2024, for travel by September 30, 2024āI know, I knowā¦ thatās coming up quickly.
But itās called Spontaneous Escapes for a reason š¤·š»āāļø
Singapore is advertising select award flights at a 30% discounted rate for economy, premium economy, and even business class seats.
Itās also important to note that there are some random blackout dates depending on the specific route, so just keep that in mind.
And because I know how much you all love Europe, I think one of the most popular routes that many of you would be more likely to take advantage of is the JFK - Frankfurt route (thereās award availability in both directions).
Iām also seeing the discounted rate offered in all three fare classesš
Most notably, award routes from Europe back to the U.S. are oftentimes more expensive than the other way around, so to see cheap award redemptions in all classes from Frankfurt to JFK is pretty sweet.
And if youāre looking to ball out, that business class flight is looking pretty good.
In fact, with the cash booking of that exact business class flight being 2,768 euros ($3,042 USD), youāre getting over 5 cents per point in value š
And as Gen Z would say, that slaps š
There are also tons of other routes around Asia, Africa, and the Southwest Pacific (including flights leaving from LAX) that you can view here.
And even if your KrisFlyer account with Singapore (free to sign up for) has a balance of zero miles, remember that you can transfer points over from most major banks š
So no matter if youāve recently signed up for our most popular card, the [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.name ]], or perhaps the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card (with its elevated welcome offer!), those miles and points will easily transfer to Singapore Airlines so you can score a discounted award flight on one of the best airlines in the world.
šØ Hilton is keeping the (bonus points) party going
Iām already planning my fall and winter travel, as Iām sure many of you are as well, and fortunately for us, Hilton is keeping the party going with another promo that will start immediately after the current one ends!
For reference, Hiltonās current promo to earn 2x bonus points on every stay is good through September 2, 2024 š
So you can certainly still take advantage of this, but starting on September 3 - December 31, 2024, theyāre launching a new promo called the Power Up Promotion where you can earn 2,500 bonus points on all stays.
Plus, thereās no limit on the number of points you can earn with this offer š
The GREAT thing is that stays at any hotel in the Hilton portfolio are includedāno matter if youāre traveling domestically or internationally.
Hereās what you should know:
You must be a Hilton Honors member to participate (itās free to join)
Be sure to register for the promo before your stays (although itās okay if you already booked your stay prior to registeringājust donāt forget to register before checking in!)
You must check out by December 31 to be eligible and receive the bonus
Award stays are also eligible
These 2,500 bonus points will be in addition to any base points and/or elite tier point bonuses you earn, which is nice.
š” If you want a refresher on how base points and elite bonuses work, check out our guide to all things Hilton.
However, the terms do acknowledge that you canāt check out and check in again at the same property on consecutive days to take advantage of āmultiple stays.ā Womp womp.
Theyāre definitely onto those of us who try and play the system š
But regardless of that, this promo will be the most valuable if you are genuinely staying for just a night or two somewhere.
It consequently becomes less valuable for longer stays.
So overall, Iāll never complain about earning additional bonus points, and itāll only add to my pot of growing Hilton points over time.
But I also wouldnāt go out of my way to plan a stay with Hilton just because of this promo.
The bottom line is:
If youāve got upcoming fall or winter travel and are planning to stay with Hilton (or have already booked a stay), you might as well register for this and get some extra points along the way š¤
