☀️ Good morning and welcome back to Daily Drop — the newsletter that sees your airline status… and raises you 25 years of it (it’ll all make sense in a second).

Here’s what we’ve got for you today:

😮 JetBlue’s new promo is bananas

JetBlue just turned 25 — and it’s giving you a birthday gift with its latest promo.

Through December 31, 2025, you can earn up to 350,000 TrueBlue points and 25 years of elite status just by flying to a bunch of JetBlue destinations.

Yes. You read that right: Twenty-five years of Mosaic 1 status, locked in until the year 2050.

How it works

Between June 25 and the end of the year:

  • Fly to 15 unique JetBlue airports = earn 150,000 TrueBlue points

  • Reach 20 airports = get an additional 200,000 points (350k total)

  • Hit 25 airports = earn Mosaic 1 elite status for 25 years

No registration is needed. Just make sure your flights (excluding Blue Basic and codeshares) have your TrueBlue number attached.

“25 airports sounds impossible…”

It’s not as wild as it seems.

One key term of this deal is that departure airports do not count… but if you book a round trip to and from your home airport, that airport will count (since it will be a “destination” on the way back).

Plus, you can strategically book layovers in between, which can further boost your total tally.

For example, this round-trip from Boston (BOS) to Charleston (CHS) with a layover in New York (JFK) would give you three total airports:

If you were able to schedule a layover in a different city on the way back, you’d be at four total airports from one round trip.

Airlines are getting gamified — and we’re here for it

JetBlue’s challenge has big SAS EuroBonus Millionaire energy — you know, that wild 2024 promo where you had to fly 15 different SkyTeam airlines in a few months to earn one million points (which four Daily Drop team members successfully did).

This trend of gamified loyalty is growing — and we love that airlines are starting to reward people in a creative way.

Should you go for it?

If any of these describe you, this might be a good idea:

  • You’re already a JetBlue loyalist or fly it often

  • You’ve got flexible travel plans and can get creative with routing

  • You genuinely love this kind of challenge

  • You regularly redeem TrueBlue points, and know that 350k points will be worth the hassle

To that last point, TrueBlue points are generally worth 1.3 to 1.5 cents apiece, so 350,000 of them could yield a value of $4,550 to $5,250 at a minimum. 😏

Not only will you have a 💩 ton of points worth thousands of dollars at your disposal, but you’ll also get to enjoy the benefits of holding Mosaic 1 status if you hit 25 different destinations:

  • 3x bonus + base JetBlue points

  • First two checked bags free

  • Dedicated check-in

  • Priority security

  • Preferred core seating

  • Complimentary alcoholic drinks (but don’t get too wild 🙃)

That said… this won’t be an easy feat.

So don’t let the FOMO coax you into wasting time and money on something that isn’t worth it for you. This should be fun, rewarding, and ideally not require a spreadsheet color-coded by IATA code (unless that’s your thing).

🚨 Last call: First class for 9k

This is your final warning: You’ve got until June 30 to transfer Membership Rewards points to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan via HawaiianMiles — a little workaround that’s about to disappear.

That’s because Membership Rewards points and Hawaiian Airlines are ending their partnership, which means this whole two-step transfer trick will also end.

How it works

  1. Transfer your Membership Rewards points to Hawaiian Airlines

  2. Then transfer HawaiianMiles to Alaska Mileage Plan (using this tool)

  3. And boom — your Membership Rewards points become Alaska miles

Why you should care

Alaska miles are some of the most powerful in the points world — especially for partner awards.

This deal is especially useful for domestic flyers, since you can book American Airlines flights for as few as 4,500 miles in economy or 9,000 miles in first class.

Even if you’re looking to go further afield, Alaska miles can unlock great value on international partners, too.

For example, you can fly LATAM business class from Atlanta (ATL) to Lima, Peru (LIM) in a lie-flat seat for just 35,000 Alaska miles and $34 in taxes and fees.

Bottom line

Starting in July, Bilt Rewards will be the only points program that transfers to Alaska.

If you’re sitting on transferable points and love a good sweet spot, this could be your last shot for a while.

✈️ Free airport security reservations this summer

If you’re flying this summer and dreading the TSA line (hi, 4th of July surge 👋), there’s a little-known free tool that can save you a ton of time — no TSA PreCheck or CLEAR membership required.

It’s called CLEAR Reserve, and it lets you book a timed security slot at airports across North America and Europe. Think OpenTable… but for airport security.

How it works

  1. Visit this page or use the CLEAR app

  2. Choose your airport and airline

  3. Book a time slot (you can add up to 10 people on the same reservation)

  4. Show up during your 20-minute window

  5. Scan your QR code and ID at the CLEAR Reserve lane

  6. Proceed through standard TSA screening

CLEAR Reserve won’t let you skip ID checks or keep your shoes on, but it could save you 20 to 40 minutes during busy periods.

Where it’s available

CLEAR Reserve is currently offered at a handful of major North American airports, including:

Heck, you can even use it in some European airports like Frankfurt (FRA), Amsterdam (AMS), and Rome (FCO).

A short-term fix… but here’s the long game

CLEAR Reserve is awesome, but it’s only available at a handful of airports, and slots can fill up fast.

If you want priority security access year-round, it’s worth getting a premium travel credit card that offers:

But in the meantime, this is a simple, free way for anyone to breeze through security.

That’s all for today, folks… Whether you're plotting a mileage run or just trying to get through TSA a little faster, we’ll be back with more travel goodness on Monday.

Take care and have a lovely weekend 🤘
