Good morning, and welcome back to Daily Drop.
It’s been an exciting week in the points and miles world, and there’s even more to tell you about, so let’s get straight into the good stuff:

💳 Top Cards Update (April 2025)
Every month, we like to reevaluate which credit cards we think are the best of the best — the cream of the crop — the slippers of the amenity kit, so to speak.
And this month might be the most exciting one we’ve had in recent memory. There are SO many great offers that I think there’s a little something for everyone.
The pièce de résistance is definitely the [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.name ]]. Just yesterday, it dropped a new offer to earn 100,000 UR points after spending $5,000 in the first three months.
Considering the annual fee is under $100, I genuinely can’t think of a better card offer.
Let me give you an example of why this is so insane:
Later this fall, you could fly from New York to London in Virgin Atlantic’s premium economy for 10,500 miles one-way:
That means you could transfer 84,000 Ultimate Rewards points from the [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.casual-card-name ]] to fly a family of FOUR in premium economy, ROUND-TRIP, to freaking EUROPE.
For reference, each one of these flights would normally cost $1,800 on the same dates.
So the [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.casual-card-name ]] that you’re spending less than $100 on is getting you $7,200 in value… and you’ll still have more than 20,000 points left over.
Need I say more?
Okay, next up, I NEED to remind you that the other insane offer I told you about last month on the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is still alive and well.
If you already have the previously mentioned card, this offer to earn 75,000 miles and $250 of travel credit is almost just as good.
Capital One miles can transfer to a ton of solid partners like Cathay Pacific, which lets you fly from the East Coast all the way to Asia for just 38,000 miles each way.
That means this single card offer from the [[ capital-one-venture-rewards-credit-card.casual-card-name ]] (also with an annual fee of under $100) can get you an easy round-trip from anywhere in the U.S. to anywhere in Asia.
And once you get to Asia, you’ll still have that $250 to put toward some cheap hotel stays.
Again, the [[ capital-one-venture-rewards-credit-card.casual-card-name ]]’s offer is pretty much as good as it gets. And since it’s been around for a while, I suspect it won’t be around much longer.
Next on the docket is Hilton.
Despite having my least favorite loyalty program of the major hotel chains, I think their co-branded cards are excellent, and I personally hold two of them.
The [[ hilton-honors-american-express-surpass-card.name ]], in particular, has made it onto our top list for a couple of reasons:
It has simple Hilton hotel credits that outweigh the annual fee
It has a great new welcome offer that includes both points AND a Free Night Certificate
As a reminder, Hilton Free Night Certificates have no cap - so as long as there’s a standard room available, it can be used at almost any hotel regardless of the points price.
Last year, I used my free night to book a stay in a two-story villa with a private pool at the Katara Hills Doha, a property that costs 130,000 points or over $2,000 per night but still counts their villas as “standard rooms.”

Between the welcome offer points and the free night, you could book a two-night, $4,000 stay using a card that basically pays for itself already.
Finally, there’s one other card I want to call out here, and it’s an unexpected one… 😏
The [[ ihg-rewards-premier-business-credit-card.name ]] from IHG currently has an all-time-high welcome offer with the ability to earn up to 200,000 points after spending $9,000 in the first six months.
IHG points are quickly becoming my favorite hotel points currency because of how easy they are to earn and how many amazing rates they have in basically every region of the world.
Just the other day I told you about how you can book hotels in Auckland, New Zealand, for less than 15,000 points per night with the [[ ihg-rewards-premier-business-credit-card.casual-card-name ]]’s fourth-night free perk.
With a welcome offer like this one, you can imagine just how much value you could get from this one card.
Anyway, there are plenty more cards on our Best Travel Credit Cards page that I haven’t even mentioned… So go check ‘em out.

🏨 A fun new Hyatt promo
Hyatt is back with another fun promotion that you casino lovers should get a kick out of.
For the next couple of months, you can get 777 bonus points per night at a handful of Hyatt casino properties around the world.
You see, seven is commonly believed to be a “lucky number,” so Hyatt decided to…
…you know what? You get the idea.
Here is the fine print:
You need to register for this offer
You’ll earn 777 bonus points per night
Maximum of 10 nights (or 7,777 bonus points)
Stays between April 10 and June 9 are eligible
Both paid and award stays count (yay!)
Only available at 20 properties (see the full list here)
So yeah — this is fun. 777 points might not sound like a lot, but it’s actually a nice bonus, considering how valuable Hyatt points are.
And not all of these properties are crazy luxurious and expensive, either. For example, the Rio in Las Vegas only costs $125 on most weeknights:
Plus, if you have Hyatt Globalist status, resort fees are waived.
And since the Rio charges a $50 resort fee (plus tax), the actual cost per night is only about $70 for top-tier elites.
But it’s not just Las Vegas fans that can get something out of this.
Even properties like this one in Manila, Philippines, are participating. I stayed here last year, and it was a lot of fun… It’s right by the airport, connected to a massive mall and casino, and well worth the $122 price tag.
Getting an additional 777 points per night (on top of normal earnings, credit card earnings, and any other targeted promos) is just icing on the cake.
So here’s the bottom line:
Hyatt is offering a simple and fun way to rack up some bonus points on casino-affiliated properties around the world.
If you like to hit the roulette wheel, this is a great way to get some extra guaranteed winnings from Hyatt. 😉
