Good morning and welcome back to Daily Drop! I’m kinda freaking out right now, to be honest.

So much is happening in the travel world today, and I’ve got one five-minute newsletter to fill you in, so… challenge accepted. šŸ¤˜šŸ¼

Here we go:

šŸ’³ The perk that lets you book now, pay later

If you dabble in the credit card world like us nerds at Daily Drop, you’ve probably seen those 0% intro APR offers on certain cards.

So what’s the deal?

Basically, a 0% intro APR gives you a temporary grace period where you can carry a balance for a few months without paying interest.

Now, let’s be clear: At Daily Drop, we believe interest is the devil — and not the hot kind or the Tasmanian one. After all, if you're paying interest, the travel rewards you earn are basically meaningless.

But when used wisely, 0% APR intro offers can give you extra breathing room to get in on a good deal and finance a big trip, cover unexpected expenses, or even spread out the cost of new travel gear without worrying about racking up extra fees.

Curious which cards offer this? We made a list of the best cards with promotional introductory APRs. šŸ‘‡

Just promise us you’ll pay on time and in full before the intro offer ends. Period. I’ve got my eye on you, so don’t even think about it.

Okay, now onto the best travel deal we’ve seen in a loooooooong time. šŸ‘‡

😮 Fly to Europe for 4,000 points (woah)

What if I told you there’s a way to stack two discounts on the best Europe award deal in existence… and get there for 4,000 points?

Would you think I’m crazy?

Well, you’re right… but also, Virgin has done exactly that with its current 20% sale on award flights between the U.S. and London.

You see, Virgin sells flights between the U.S. and Europe for as little as 6,000 miles each way during off-peak times.

This is already the single cheapest way to get to Europe…

But with this sale, those rates drop to just 4,800 points, with wide-open availability in months like September:

I don’t like to use curse words in the newsletter, but that deal is BANANAS. šŸŒ

Since pretty much every major bank transfers to Virgin at a 1:1 ratio, you can use almost any credit card with transferrable points and turn it into a Eurotrip for the whole family.

Heck, even in the peak summer season, the same flights cost just 9,600 points with this sale:

That’s still better than just about every other program out there. But here’s where things get extra fun…

There’s a 25% transfer bonus from Ultimate Rewards points to Virgin until June 15.

That means that if you stack these two deals, you’re transferring as few as 4,000 Ultimate Rewards points to get to Europe. 🤯

Since many of you signed up for the record-breaking 100k offer on the [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.name ]], you could book four round-trip tickets to Europe and still have 68,000 points left.

So yeah… this is insane.

This sale is good until May 27 for flights all the way through September 30, 2025.

šŸØ Buy Hyatt points with a 20% bonus

I know we’ve seen a lot of hotel deals this week… but this one’s worth a closer look.

Now through July 21, you can buy Hyatt points with a 20% bonus.

This probably sounds incredibly underwhelming at first glance, but hear me out.

Hyatt points are worth twice as much (or more) as any other hotel currency out there.

Sometimes, buying Hyatt points at a discount allows you to book hotel nights for less than paying cash outright.

Take this example from a hotel I recently stayed at in Mexico City:

Andaz Mexico City Condesa

As you can see, the cash rate is over $400 after taxes, or just 12,000 Hyatt points on the same night.

Instead of shelling out four hundred buckeroos, you could buy 12,000 Hyatt points for $260 all in.

It's still not ā€œcheap,ā€ but you’re pocketing $140 a night for pressing a few buttons. Not bad.

This strategy doesn’t always work out to be a great deal, so you definitely want to crunch the numbers for your specific stay before pulling the trigger.

It’s also a great way to top off your balance if you’re just short of being able to book a stay.

Of course, the ideal way to get Hyatt points is simply transferring Ultimate Rewards points or Bilt Rewards to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. But if you don’t have points to transfer, this is a solid Plan B.

šŸØ New transfer bonus to… Wyndham?

Wyndham. The loyalty program no one talks about… until it suddenly becomes useful.

It offers few opportunities to get outsized value, mostly budget brands, and doesn’t have the biggest footprint.

Still, you shouldn’t ignore it, especially for domestic travel in the U.S., and especially when there’s a transfer bonus.

Now through June 21, you can transfer ThankYou points to Wyndham with a 25% bonus.

25% transfer bonus to Wyndham

The nice thing about Wyndham redemptions is that they’re very simple, and availability is almost never an issue.

Rooms start at just 7,500 points per night, and max out at 30,000 points per night.

With the transfer bonus, that’s only 6,000 to 24,000 ThankYou points per night, depending on the hotel.

Whether you’re planning a summer road trip and want to make a quick pitstop at a motel, need to spend an overnight layover at an airport hotel, or want something a bit more upscale, Wyndham has options.

For example, this NYC hotel costs just 30,000 points per night with a total cash rate of close to $300 (after tax).

If you’re having trouble finding award nights with the other popular hotel programs, this could be an awesome alternative at just 24,000 ThankYou points.

Is Wyndham a sexy program? Nope. Should you transfer all of your points over right now?

HELL nope.

But should you pop over to Wyndham and sniff around for a deal? Absolutely.

Current Transfer Bonuses

That’s all for today, folks!

I know today was a firehose of deals, but I hope it inspired you — and maybe even got you a ticket to Europe for 4,000 points. šŸ˜‰

We’ll be off Monday for the holiday, but I’ll see you bright and early on Tuesday for more travel magic. Safe travels if you’re one of the 18 million people TSA expects to screen this weekend!

Take care,
