āļø Donāt forget that Daily Drop Proās Black Friday sale is ending in a couple of days! This is your last chance to lock in a full year for just $99 and get some free sexy packing cubes on top of it! Check it out now before itās too late.
Good morning from beautiful Guangzhou!
Iām feeling the burn after five days of back-to-back flights, but nothing a little extra caffeine canāt fix.
Anyway, before my body forces me asleep, hereās what Iāve got for you:
š Flying Blue Promo Rewards (December 2024)
Another month (holy crap, itās already December) means another round of Flying Blue Promo Rewards!
Iāve been on a BIG SkyTeam kick lately as youāve seen, and this just makes it even better.
As you probably know by now, every month, Flying Blue (the joint loyalty program of KLM and Air France) releases discounted award flights for a handful of different routes.
And the discounts are goooodā¦ like 15,000 miles good š
But per usual, youāll need to make your booking by December 31, 2024, for travel valid until May 31, 2025, to get in on these deals.
This month, Flying Blue is featuring a few routes to/from North America over to Europe starting at that sweet 15,000-mile mark:
You Canadian folk will be pleased to see Montreal and Toronto on there. And New York is pretty much a given.
But Portland, Oregon, for 15,000 miles?? West Coast peeps rejoice! š
Flying Blue is also featuring all sorts of other destinations like Europe to Osaka and even to Beijing for just 18,750 miles.
Thankfully, you can also transfer points from all major banks, which is why Flying Blue is one of the best and easiest programs to work with š
Sometimes, those banks even offer transfer bonusesā¦. Oh, would you look at that! Thereās one right now! š
āļø 20% transfer bonus toā¦ guess who?
Thatās right, folks! The same day those Promo Rewards dropped, a hot 20% transfer bonus from UR Points to Flying Blue dropped, too.
20% might not sound like a lot, but when you pair it with those Promo Rewards above, it is fantastic.
For example, those 15,000-mile flights to Europe become just 12,500 UR Points with the bonusā¦
The 18,750-mile flights to Asia become just 16,000 UR Points.
But you donāt need to sit for 8-12 hours in economy to get value from Flying Blue miles or the transfer bonus.
For example, you can book domestic flights on Delta for just 8,500 Flying Blue miles.
With this bonus, thatās just 7,000 UR Points to fly around the U.S. on Delta.
Personally, Iām eyeing some other cool flights, like this one from Jakarta to Seoul next month.
18,500 miles for seven hours on Garuda is already a great deal, but knocking 20% off of the price makes it a FANTASTIC deal.
You could even book a flight from New York City to Buenos Aires on Delta for just 38,000 Flying Blue miles.
With this bonus, thatās just 32,000 UR Points for an 11-hour flight.
If you booked the same flight on the same day through Delta, youād have to pay 60,000 SkyMiles (or 51,000 with the cardholder discount).
So hereās the bottom line:
Promo Rewards are freaking awesome. Flying to Europe for 12,500 points is awesomeā¦
But Flying Blue miles are far more valuable than you think, whether thatās for flying to Europe, staying at home in the U.S., traveling around East Asia, or even South America.
If you donāt have any UR Points, apply for a card like this one to start racking them up.
Current Transfer Bonuses
Well, thatās gonna do it for this week, kiddos.
It was really a jam-packed week, so I hope many of you have learned a thing or two and were able to hop on these excellent travel deals.
For now, have a great weekend, and Iāll see you bright and early on Monday.
Cheers,
