Good morning, and welcome back to Daily Drop, your friendly neighborhood newsletter swinging by to deliver a web-slinging good time.
All I'm saying is... you've never seen me and Spiderman in the same room. š
Anyway:
šØ Hyatt promo for Florida hotels
Iāve got some good news for all of you Florida fans out thereā¦
Hyatt is offering an insane promotion for certain properties in the Sunshine State that is making me REALLY envy anyone who gets to take advantage of itā¦
For the next few months, you can get 1,000 bonus points per night AND double elite night credits at full-service Hyatt hotels in Florida.
Here are the details:
You must register for the promotion before August 30th
Stays can take place through September 30th
Maximum of 20 nights (for a total of 20,000 bonus points and 40 elite nights)
Ughā¦ I wish this was available everywhere because it is a VERY generous offer.
The main point you need to keep in mind is that this is only available at select properties in Florida, including some of the following:
You can see the terms and the full list of properties here, but generally speaking, this is available for premium brands and not budget brands.
Still, there are plenty of ways to book less-expensive stays and still reap the rewards.
For example, this Dream hotel in Miami only costs $148 per night.
If you have Hyatt Globalist status, that $35 resort fee would also be waived, lowering the cost to just $113 per night.
Considering you get double elite nights (which boosts you further toward elite status and milestone rewards) and a nice chunk of 1,000 points per night, that is a very reasonable price tag.
Staying at a Dream hotel would also knock off one of the more elusive brands in Hyattās portfolio, which would also help you get closer to another Free Night Award from their Brand Explorer promotion.
If you didnāt already guess, I will not be taking advantage of thisā¦
However, I have a feeling Hyatt might be prepping for another Bonus Journeys promotion sometime in the near futureā¦ And if itās anything like this Florida deal, Iāll have plenty of Hyatt stays in my future. š
If you do have plans to travel to Florida between now and September, make sure you crunch the numbers before going out of your way to stay at one of these properties.

š Wooh! Priority Pass has expanded its partnership with Escape Lounges, offering ten new lounge options in the U.S. and maybe more international lounges down the road. Donāt forget that many premium credit cards offer Priority Pass lounge visits as a perk!
š¬ Southwest, what are you doing?? Last week, another Southwest flight had a close call after flying extremely low over Oklahoma Cityā¦ Thankfully, the flight recovered and landed safely without any issues.
š§āāļø A woman was caught secretly working for TWO European airlinesā¦ This is a major safety issue since pilots are required to rest between flights, as per international regulations. Stillā¦ itās impressive that she got away with it for as long as she did.
āļø Frontier is offering $30 flights for its 30th birthday
When you think of luxury and comfort, you donāt think of Frontier.
When you think of decentā¦ you still might not think of Frontier.
But when you think about needing to get from Point A to Point Bā¦ then thatās when you start thinking about Frontier š
And now is actually a great time to start thinking about the budget airline because for their 30th birthday, theyāre offering $30 flights on 100 different routes!
They couldnāt even take the time to make a fun birthday graphic for this sale (no room in the budget?), so hereās a boring screenshot of the headline from their news release š
But hurry! This sale ends TODAY, June 27, at 11:50 p.m. EST.
And here are some important terms and conditions to know about:
Sale prices are valid for nonstop travel on Mondays through Thursdays, and Saturdays, from now until November 13, 2024
A 7-day advance purchase is required
All reservations are non-refundable (unless you make a refund request within 24 hours of booking the flight)
There appear to be a few random blackout dates, typically around the major holidays (like the 4th of July and Labor Day)
Keep in mind that Frontier is a low-cost carrier, so any additional baggage or seat selection (among other things) will likely incur additional fees.
But like I saidā¦ looking to just get from Point A to Point B this summer without dropping a ton of cash? Itās hard to beat $30 for a flight.
I searched a bunch of different routes and found quite a few that are offering $30 or less for basic fares. Hereās a route from Las Vegas to Denver š
And another example from Atlanta to Tampa:
Itās always cool to see an airline doing something for its customers as part of a fun birthday celebration.
So if youāve had a domestic trip in mind and donāt care about all the extra comfort fluff, then booking a flight as part of Frontierās sale could be a nice option.
Thatās all for today, friends!
I hope you enjoyed this Thursdayās edition of Daily Drop, and Iāll see you bright and early tomorrow to finish off the week strong!
Take care,
