Plus, I'll tell you how I'm saving TONS of points on Hyatt stays this summer

Howdy, friends - and beautiful good morning from Bandung, Indonesia!
Last week was pretty exciting, but donāt think for a second that the excitement is dying downā¦
Hereās what I got for you today:
š¤£ Meme
šØ Why Iām loading up on Hyatt stays
As I mentioned, I am now back in Asia.
During this crazy adventure around the world, Iāll be staying at all kinds of crazy places, including luxury resorts, jungle bungalows, Airbnb apartments, and, you guessed it, a whole slew of Hyatt hotels.
I originally hadnāt booked a ton of Hyatts, but that changed last weekā¦
You see, thereās currently a targeted offer to get a 20% points rebate for stays in the next 90 days up to a maximum of 30,000 points.
Many people (myself included) received this offer, so go check your Hyatt accounts and register for it if you can.
For reference, 30,000 Hyatt points is a LOT, and a 20% discount on Hyattās already reasonable award prices is, to put it mildly, sweet.
So, Iāve rearranged some hotel stays from other chains to take full advantage of this Hyatt deal.
My strategy is mainly centered around Hyatt Category 1 propertiesā¦ and I now have a boatload of them booked.
For example, Iāll soon be heading to Xiāan, China - which is home to a number of Hyatt Category 1 hotels. š
Since this hotel costs as few as 3,500 points per night, the 20% rebate results in a net cost of just 2,800 pointsā¦ which is amazing.
In just a couple of weeks, Iāll also be checking out the new Hyatt Place in Makassar.
Again, this property can cost as few as 2,800 points per night with the rebate.
Since I have some ā2k Next Stayā awards from Hyattās new milestone program, Iāll also rake in an extra 2,000 points on this stay.
I have other Hyatt Category 1 properties booked in Bangkok, Kota Kinabalu, Surakarta, Yogyakarta, Doha, and more, and plan to fully max out this promotion.
But itās not just Category 1 hotels that have my interestā¦
You see, the single best hotel Iāve ever stayed at, the Park Hyatt Jakarta, is right here in Indonesia. This hotel puts other Park Hyatts in North America and Europe to shameā¦
Itās truly next level.
It also costs a fraction of the points of other Park Hyattsā¦ š
Itās actually pretty egregious that itās only a Category 4 hotel, considering how incredible it isā¦ But Iām not complaining. š¤·š¼āāļø
Anyway, at just 15,000 points per night, the 20% rebate translates to a net cost of 12,000 points per night.
A 3-night stay at the nicest Park Hyatt in the world (my opinionā¦ but still true) for just 36,000 points is just impossible to beat, folks.
This is my suite living room from the last time I stayed at Park Hyatt Jakarta
And hereās the real kicker:
Right now, thereās a limited-time offer on the [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.name ]], which actually allows you to transfer points to Hyatt.
If you sign up for the [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.casual-card-name ]] and meet the minimum spending requirement, youāll end up with a minimum of 79,000 UR Points.
When transferring those points to Hyatt, thatās enough to book as many as 22 Category 1 hotelsā¦ š¤Æ
After you get your 20% rebate, however, youād get 15,400 points back: enough to book an ADDITIONAL four nights at hotels like this one in Azerbaijan, where Iāll also be staying next month.
So hereās the bottom line:
The stars have aligned to give us a 20% points rebate on Hyatt stays AND the [[ chase-sapphire-preferred-card.casual-card-name ]] offer with a crap ton of points to transfer to Hyatt.
So, if you love Hyatt, have some travel planned, or want to rack up some cheap elite nights, nowās the time.
š³ 30% transfer bonus to Avios
āTis the season of transfer bonuses, apparentlyā¦ because last week, no fewer than FOUR new ones dropped, including this tasty one to Qatar Airways.
Until May 31st, you can transfer ThankYou points to Qatar with a 30% bonus, which opens up a world of delicious opportunities (Iām really hungry right now, if you couldnāt tell).
One key point with this transfer bonus is that itās being offered by Qatar, not the bank.
If you log into your ThankYou Points account, you wonāt see it show up on the bank sideā¦ So donāt freak out.
Anyway, the obvious reason that this is so exciting is that it opens up opportunities to fly on Qatar Qsuites at a significant discount.
Generally speaking, you can fly Qsuites from North America to the Middle East for 70,000 Qatar Avios.
Of course, thatās if you can find availabilityā¦ which is another beast entirely. But check out this newsletter where I explain how that all works.
Anyway, with this transfer bonus, youād be able to book that Qsuites flight for just 54,000 ThankYou points, which is a KILLER deal.
But thatās not allā¦
Remember when I told you about how you can transfer Avios between airlines?
That means that you could transfer points from Qatar to Iberia and book this flight in a lie-flat bed from New York to Madrid for just 26,000 ThankYou pointsā¦
26,000 points for business class to Europe is possibly even more epic than the Qsuites dealā¦
So hereās the summary:
This is a great chance to book a number of premium flights at a pretty steep discount and is an excellent use of your ThankYou points.
One thing to keep in mind is that the bonus points may not reflect in your account until June 15th (though they could show up sooner).
This means that you should not transfer points for an urgent booking.
Instead, this is something for those of you who have travel plans where Avios could come in handy down the road, people who use Avios frequently, or those of you who have a ton of ThankYou points without any other uses for them.
